PDO Saint-Chinian
AOP Saint-Chinian, seen from Berlou
Recognized as an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée in 1982, AOP Saint-Chinian spans 20 communes in Languedoc, straddling the Cévennes and the Mediterranean plain. Domaine de Cambis, in Berlou, produces several wines under this appellation.
For reds, the AOP mandates a blend based on Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan. Caudomato, Les Jardins Suspendus, and Rock de Carignane exemplify the diversity of these blends, from the most approachable to the most structured. For whites, Kalliope blends Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, and Vermentino. For rosés, our signature cuvée combines Cinsault and Syrah.
All our AOP Saint-Chinian wines originate from the schist soils of Berlou, at altitudes of 250-450 meters, and are certified Organic Agriculture.
