Kalliope Blanc 2024
2 stars in the Guide Hachette des Vins 2023 (2020 vintage). All our distinctions
Kalliope Blanc is the flagship white cuvée of Domaine de Cambis — a tribute to Martin's Cretan great-grandmother, Kalliope, and her infectious joy for life. Born with the 2014 vintage, this white has revealed year after year the exceptional potential of organic white wines on the schist terroirs of Berlou.
The fruit of several years spent patiently planting white varieties on the estate's finest plots, Kalliope Blanc expresses a minerality drawn directly from the brown schist of AOP Saint-Chinian Berlou — an aromatic signature unlike any other among white wines from the Languedoc.
Terroir & Grape Varieties
A blend of Grenache Blanc (40%), Roussanne (30%) and Vermentino (30%), grown under certified organic farming on the schist of the AOP Saint-Chinian Berlou appellation (Hérault). The altitude and cool nights of this mountain terroir (300 m) preserve the aromatic finesse and natural acidity of the grapes — a rare setting for white wines from the Languedoc, where the brown schist of Berlou expresses its characteristic minerality.
Aromatic Profile
Pale gold with silvery highlights. The attack is fresh and mineral — the schist of Berlou comes through at once. The mid-palate opens up with aromas of white flowers, candied citrus and vineyard peach. The finish is long and saline, with a tension that calls for another sip — the hallmark of great white wines from AOP Saint-Chinian grown on schist.
Tasting & Serving

Food Pairings
Perfect with sea bream tartare and artichokes, gorgonzola risotto, pan-seared scallops in sage butter, plancha-grilled fish or aged sheep's milk cheeses. Surprising alongside creative citrus-driven cooking or the specialities of Languedoc-Roussillon gastronomy.
