Trapanelles is an ode to camaraderie, the incredible Languedoc terroirs, and a job well done. The idea is simple and beautiful: two organic winemaker friends, two plots of old Carignan on two different Languedoc terroirs, one exceptional wine.

Fabien Lainé, a wine enthusiast, had the idea of bringing together Martin Perolari (Domaine de Cambis, Berlou, AOP Saint-Chinian Berlou) and Renaud (Domaine Ferrussac, Terrasses du Larzac) around their oldest Carignan vines. Each winemaker selects their finest plot, the two Languedoc terroirs are blended, and a cuvée is born in extremely limited quantities — a curiosity for lovers of great organic Languedoc wines.

Terroir & Grape Variety

100% Carignan, a blend of two old plots of old organic Languedoc vines:

  • Schists of Berlou — Domaine de Cambis, AOP Saint-Chinian Berlou, Hérault (altitude 350m, brown schist soils)
  • Limestones of Terrasses du Larzac — Domaine Ferrussac, Languedoc (limestone soils, cool Larzac wind)

Two contrasting Languedoc terroirs, two expressions of Carignan united in a single cuvée. Certified organic farming on both estates.

Aromatic Profile

A complex and deep wine that plays on the complementarity of the Languedoc terroirs. The schist of Berlou brings minerality, red fruits, and spices — the signature of the AOP Saint-Chinian Berlou; the Terrasses du Larzac adds structure, black fruits, and limestone freshness. Ripe and melted tannins, a long and flavorful finish that invites contemplation.

Tasting & Service

Serving Temperature

Serve between 16 and 18°C. Decanting recommended for 30 minutes to allow this organic Languedoc Carignan to express itself.

Aging Potential

Can be kept for 5 to 8 years. Extremely limited quantities — a rarity among Languedoc collaboration wines.

Food & Wine Pairings

A great gastronomic wine: roasted lamb with herbs de Provence, Provençal daube, duck confit with olives, aged regional cheeses from Languedoc, or simply between lovers of great organic Languedoc wines. A cuvée to be shared in good company.
