Kalliope Rosé is the first wine from Domaine de Cambis — the one that started it all. In 2004, when Martin and Annick Perolari settled in Berlou (Hérault) to create their organic winery, they decided to make a rosé that went against the grain, at a time when it was not yet fashionable. An act of freedom and conviction that proved visionary.

Made from Cinsault and Syrah vines planted on the brown schist soils of the AOP Saint-Chinian Berlou appellation, Kalliope Rosé is a faithful reflection of its mountain terroir at 300 meters altitude: freshness, elegance, natural aromatic concentration. An organic rosé from Languedoc that reconciles enthusiasts with great gastronomic rosés.

Terroir & Grape Varieties

Made from old Cinsault and Syrah grown with certified organic farming on the brown schists of Berlou, Hérault — heart of the AOP Saint-Chinian Berlou appellation. The poor and draining schist soils force the vine to draw deep, producing grapes concentrated in aromas while retaining a beautiful natural acidity. A mountain terroir (300m altitude) that gives the wines of Berlou a unique freshness in Languedoc.

Aromatic Profile

A pale pink color with salmon reflections. On the nose, delicate aromas of wild strawberries, white peach and garrigue flowers. The palate is fresh, elegant, with a beautiful tension and a persistent finish on citrus and sweet spices — signature of the organic wines of the AOP Saint-Chinian Berlou. A gastronomic rosé that transcends clichés.
