The Wine Route from Montpellier to Carcassonne

If you are on vacation in Montpellier or elsewhere in Languedoc, you are in the perfect place for wine tourism. Hérault has always been a wine-producing department, and its grape varieties are renowned.

You will discover a rare sample of this heritage at our Cambis winery.

We have preserved ancient vines, some over a century old. We are pleased to introduce visitors to the rare regional grape variety Carignan, which has been the victim of many uprootings in recent decades.

With our winery tours, visits to our cellar, and tastings of Languedoc wines, we joyfully contribute to the preservation of Hérault's wine heritage.

Just like our fellow independent winemakers in Languedoc, we offer visiting guests guided tours for families or groups, as well as workshops.

Note that the winemakers in Berlou benefit from a Protected Designation of Origin (AOP) in the most demanding category.

This is the Saint-Chinian appellation. Several of our wines have this AOP, such as our red wine "Les Jardins Suspendus" and our white wine "Kalliope."
