Discover the wines of Languedoc-Roussillon

Wine lovers are in for delightful tasting moments when they visit Hérault.

There are so many great winemakers to discover along the wine route of Languedoc!

So many cellars to visit! Among them, don’t miss the family winery of Cambis in Berlou.

Nestled in a valley, sheltered from the Tramontane wind, the winemakers cultivate often ancient grape varieties on schist soils that are conducive to producing the most delicate wines.

Certified organic since 2021, the Perolari family works their vineyards with care and respect.

Red, white, and rosé wines are produced at the estate. Martin, who lovingly tends to his vineyards, will offer you tastings in the cellar.

You will discover fine and elegant mineral flavors, typical of these wines made from schist soils.

White wines are rare in Saint-Chinian, but Martin produces a few from parcels of Roussanne and Viognier, as well as Grenache Blanc and Vermentino.

Most of the wines from the Cambis estate benefit from the AOP Saint-Chinian Berlou, a demanding communal appellation.

This is the case for the red wine “Carnet de Voyage, made from Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan, which was a favorite in the 2023 Hachette Guide.

These same grape varieties are characteristic of the AOC Saint-Chinian Roquebrun.

In short, you will find excellent wines benefiting from the AOC Languedoc here.
